5 Signs You're Ready to Turn Your Goals Into Reality

You know what you want.

You’ve been dreaming about going after this goal for a while. You feel it deep inside you that this is what you’re meant to do.

But you feel butterflies in your stomach when you think about taking a step forward and making this happen.

Maybe you’ve tried to make this goal happen before, but stumbled through your fears and quit. You may have been held back by worrying what others think.

You’re wondering if you’re really ready to take this leap and put yourself and your dreams first.

It’s a little scary, but it kinda feels like the good kinda of fear. The kind of fear that’s laced with excitement. The fear that comes along with going after big dreams.

You know this is the first step to living on your own terms and feeling fulfilled and excited about the life you’re living.

You’re almost ready to dive in. You’re almost ready to take the plunge.

You feel the craving to grow and stretch yourself, but how do you know if you’re not ready or if you’re just scared?

Here are 5 signs you’re ready to turn your goals into reality:

1. You write it down

When you write your down your goal, you’re claiming to the Universe, “Yes! This is what I want!” If you need more proof, a study at Dominican University in California showed that people are 42% more likely to make their goals happen when they write them down. So, where are you jotting down your goals?

2. You visualize what you want

Can you see it? Can you feel it? Can you taste it? This is how you begin to re-wire your brain. It’s the first step to believing that achieving your goal is possible. Not sure how to get started? Imagine… how you’re going to feel when you reach a particular goal? How will your life be different?

3. You uncover your self-limiting beliefs

More often than not, the only thing stopping us from getting what we want is the negative thoughts we’re telling ourselves. Do you notice when you’re sabotaging yourself? Do you recognize when your inner critic is speaking up? What work have you done to uncover your self-limiting beliefs?

4. You track your progress

Do you have a set time to check in with yourself and see what kind of progress you’re making toward your goals? Schedule in a day each month for a review to see what’s going well, what you’ve found challenging, and what you’ve learned about yourself.

5. You hold yourself accountable

Of course, you can’t just talk about your goals, you actually have to take action. Are you doing one thing each day to get your closer to your big dreams?

I’m so glad I found this post because I realize that I haven’t been ready to turn my goals into reality, but the time is getting closer. I’ve started facing #2 and #3, and I’ve been procrastinating on #1.
