Remember when I was in Los Angeles a couple weeks ago?
I shared a bit about it here, but I wanted to give you a full recap, with pictures and videos, because it was such a fun time!
The full story
As we were moving into 2014, I knew that I wanted to work with a business coach, but I wasn’t sure what that was going to look like. I was looking for accountability, structure, and someone who knew how to make business fun + who would allow me to be me, but I hadn’t found the perfect match.
Then I found Christina Morassi.
After watching a few of her videos and listening to one of her free calls, I was hooked. Just like that, I knew she was the coach for me.
So, in December, I joined Christina Morassi’s Confident Business Diva program to help take Your Super Awesome Life to the next level.
The program includes group calls, individual coaching calls, workbooks, mastermind pods, and the most incredible facebook group I’ve ever been involved in. Seriously, these ladies are amaaaazing. And of course, the program includes TWO retreats in LA.
Our first one was at the end of January.
Now, full honesty?
I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to attend.
I mean, in January I was visiting my boyfriend in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, so buying a plane ticket to LA wasn’t going to be cheap. Plus, Christina set the retreat at The Viceroy, a super fancy hotel, so that meant I had to come up with the cash to pay for 4 nights. Eeeep!
But since Christina is awesome at what she does, she coached me through the process and encouraged me to “get a little scrappy” to find a way to get to LA. I got to work and made it happen. Through affiliate programs and a new coaching package, I made enough money to attend the retreat!
Here’s what happened in LA:
During the day we met in the most gorgeous conference room to talk about our businesses, break through road blocks, and plan out our signature programs.
It meant digging deep, being completely open to whatever may come up, and breathing through it all.
The flash mob
Yep, we did a flash mob in the middle of Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade! It was so much fun (which you’ll hear me say a million times in the video, haha) and something definitely want to do again.
Can you imagine a better way to move past your visibility issues and learn to be okay being YOU in public and in your business?
The professional photo shoot
This was the main reason I wanted to attend this retreat, but can you blame me?
I mean, how often do we get the chance to have our picture taken at a studio in Venice Beach, with a professional hair + makeup team, and a stylist? Not very often!
My photographer was Cortnee and I basically think we’re BFFs now. She was fantastic and I want her to take all my pictures forever and and ever.
I was majorly nervous before my first shoot, so I asked them to put on Taylor Swift’s 22. Worked like a charm. :)
Here are a few of my favs:
I’m sure you can tell, but this really was the best business retreat ever.
After a few days in such a fun, supportive, and encouraging environment, I feel super excited about the next months here at Your Super Awesome Life. I have so many awesome projects in the works and I think you’re going to love them.
I still want to pinch myself because I can’t believe this is my life. Fancy hotels in Santa Monica? Flash mobs? Photo shoots?
I feel so blessed.
I know some of you want this same kind of life. You want to run your own business. You want to travel. You want to have incredibly fun experiences on a Wednesday afternoon instead of being stuck in a muggy office. I get it.
So, if you’re to take the first step to make this happen for yourself, I’m co-hosting a free virtual training tomorrow night and I’d love for you to be there. We’ll sip some Pinot and I’ll share the 4 secrets you need to know to jump into your business.
I hope to see you there!
