I work as a writer. I’m learning how to do scary things. My self-assigned and caffeine-fueled mission is to allow my feelings to help me rather than hinder me, and spark others to do the same. Mostly by doing vaguely questionable things and writing about them. My dream in life is to have a pet giraffe. I will settle for a pet pig.

My emotions have been in overdrive this past month, and when I saw the name of this giveaway, I thought it was right up my alley. I’ve been doing what I can to feel less crazy, but I could use all the help I can get. Just checked out Amber’s website and blog, and I’m hooked! I would love to win 24 Ways to Be Less Crazy since my life seems especially crazy and chaotic right now. I’m going through a divorce while, at the same time, working full-time and raising my toddler/preschooler on my own. I’m a crazy mess!

I could use some tips on how to be less crazy. Why.. here are a few of the reasons: I’m on a Leave of Absence from my job which means no income coming in to pay mortgage/bills/etc. The Leave of Absence is due to finishing my Masters in Education, as I am finishing my student teaching. In the midst of all of this I am taking the last two of my certification exams while all of this is going on. I’m almost starting a tutoring company during all of this. And finally, I’m planning the wedding to the love my life. Needless to say, I find my fuse to be short at the best of times, let alone when I am at my worst. It’s frustrating not only for myself, but those around me- including my amazing fiancee who does not deserve my temper, yet handles it with grace and ease. I’d like to return the favor to him by handling myself better when I am at my best or worst. And, of course, to provide myself with a dose of sanity so I can do all of these things successfully!

I like a little crazy in my life to keep things fun and exciting but right now I have so much CRAZY that everything is a blur and I’m flapping around to move fast enough to keep my feet from touching the ground with feathers falling everywhere. Ahem.

I need this because right now, in the midst of a year long unemployment, I’m just NOT COPING WELL. I overreact and feel SO crazy about every little thing. I could use some better coping mechanisms to help me be less crazy. lol

I just found out that my hours are work are going to be cut WAY back. I’m starting to feel a little crazy, and this guide sounds like it’s the perfect thing to keep me going.
