How To Make Friends After College

by Ashley on July 19, 2013 · 8 comments

You’ve graduated from college and you’re finally out in the real world now! The freedom!

You have your own apartment and an awesome job, but there’s just one thing missing.

Friends.

You miss the built-in friendships that came with dorm rooms and cafeteria food. Those super close friendships have started to fade since graduation and everyone dispersed across the country.

Now that you’re in the throws of your 9-5, you’re noticing that it’s not easy to meet new people and make friends.

But don’t worry! In this episode of Ashley’s Video Diary, I have just the thing for you.

Click here to learn my 4 tips for making new friends in your 20’s (and beyond):

Did I miss anything?  How do you make new friends? I’d love to know!

This made me think of an article I read recently about making new friends that might be of interest to your readers as well, A Practical Guide to Making Friends as An Adult.

This is the video I needed to hear. I realised, I have very few friends in this city after living here for many years and that is because of my work and also because of the not so open to foreigners culture here. i need to go out and make more expat friends.

I totally agree! Making friends as an adult is really tough. As a result, I was part of a team that started http://www.neighborsations.com which helps people make friends in their neighborhood by introducing them to others with similar interests. We’re in our pilot phase right now, but check it out!
