1. Tell us a little about yourself!

I help people accomplish their dreams and goals. I do this through my writing, coaching and speaking. I am a Motivational Speaker, Abundance Coach and a Surf Ambassador for the clothing company Patagonia.

2. What does living a “super awesome life” look like for you?

My “super awesome life” is about surfing amazing waves all over the world, sharing what I know with others and inspire them to live to the fullest. It  is about freedom: creating our reality the way we want to.

3. Five years after starting surfing, you decided to go after your next big dream and become one of the female big wave surfers in the world, which is incredible. What was that journey like for you?

It was an intense, long journey. I was very passionate about my dreams and very focused, I had the biggest highs and best rides of my life and the lowest lows as well. I’ll share all about it in my upcoming book!

4. You’re a big believer in manifesting your dreams. Can you share a few of your manifesting secrets of techniques?

Sure! We need to first be very clear on what we want to manifest. We need a vision and then we need to start taking action steps towards that vision. We set an intention and do our very best and we let go of the result, as many times we may have something better waiting for us that we couldn’t even dream about!

The key is to follow our joy along the way. I call it our “Hell Yeah!”. When we manifest through living our Hell Yeah at all times of the day, everything happens way faster. Joy and enthusiasm are the moving forces to manifest our dreams.

5. What advice to you have for other passion-powered women who want to do something big with their lives?

To keep focused on their dreams and to take action towards them . I’d tell them to follow their hearts and to have faith in themselves.

6. What little things in life right now make you you do a happy dance?  Big things?

Watching a sunset on the beach with my husband, writing a blog post that moves me deeply and sharing it with others, surfing beautiful waves, coaching amazing women. All of those are big things, life is a big thing.

7. In the movie of your life, who would you want to play you?

Whoever dares play that script! It wasn’t an easy ride. It was very dark most of my life. Around age twenty things started to change for me. Surfing had a lot to do with it. Then it became bright. Now it’s shining.

8. What is one thing you’d like to change about the world?

We need to look for happiness inside of us, the world will never provide that for us. If we look outside for fulfillment we will always find disappointment, injustice, pain. Heaven is inside of us. When we can live from that place, all we need to do is share that light with the world. I try to do my very best with what I have within me, so I can make an impact on others through living my best life.

9. What quote best represents you or motivates you in your current place in life?

“Live in the Loving, live in the now. Live one day at a time, one breath at a time.”

10. What inspires you to continue living a life you love each day?

There’s no other way to do it. There’s no other choice.

Thanks so much for sharing, Mercedes!
