Where In The World Is Ashley: Part 1

by Ashley on January 17, 2014 · 13 comments

If there’s one thing I love more than Taylor Swift, deep convos, and peanut butter ice cream, it’s seeing the world.

It’s why I spent 7 months in France, why I moved to NYC for graduate school, and it’s why I spend 75% of my “extra money” on plane tickets.

Traveling will always be my #1 love.

I mean, there’s just something about visiting a new place, soaking up the culture, trying the local food, and watching the sunset over a new corner of the world.

I’ve made it one of my intentions for 2014 to be abundant, and for me, a piece of that means creating opportunities to travel every chance I get.

Of course I want to make this as fun as possible, so I thought I’d make videos and take you along on each of my travel adventures. Woo!

To kick things off, watch this video and check out where I’ve been for the past few weeks + where I’m headed over the next 6 weeks + some super exciting updates for YSAL.

I’d love to know, do you have any travel plans for 2014? Where are you visiting? Leave a comment below and let me know!

Travel is my #1 love, too! And while it is my favorite thing to do (or read about or hear about or think about), I don’t get to travel often, and I’ve never been out of the country.
But, I’m so excited because this year (2014) in June my family and I are going to Riviera Maya in Mexico! Ooooohh I cannot wait! It’s nearly impossible for me to convey my excitement- I would LOVE to visit the Mayan ruins! Maybe I’ll get to do that :)
Thanks for your posts/emails/blogging – it’s a great inspiration.

Shawna, I’ve been there and you will definitely get to see the Mayan ruins if that’s what you want. It’s hard to avoid it. :) There’s tons of tours that go there–whatever resort you’re staying at will hook you up.

I enjoyed Coba more than Chichen Itza. Yes, Chichen is more famous, but it’s filled with vendors who constantly harass you, and it’s crowded. You can’t do much but look at stuff and avoid the aggressive salespeople (or try to avoid them). Whereas, you get to climb Coba and enjoy the amazing view at the top! If you’re an adventurous traveler, Coba is the way to go.

Very inspiring, Ashley! And I can’t believe you don’t have snow there–so jealous.

We just came back from an amazing 2 week Caribbean vacation. My husband and I took our one year old daughter to Puerto Rico and St. Thomas. The views were incredible!! In May, we will be heading to Alaska for 5 days. Our final trip of the year will be NYC in December. I love love love NYC during the holidays!!

I imagine I’ll likely travel up to New England a few times this year. My parents are in New Hampshire and I have close friends who have a summer home in Vermont.

Hi Ashley totally loved your video you have so much going on and its really motivated me. I love how you are going to be giving advice on business coaching. I love to travel and more importantly I love the sun (living in the UK it isn’t something you see much). In a few weeks time I am going to Gran Canaria one of the islands just off the coast of Africa. Im not just going on holiday but Im going armed with notepads, pens, print outs and my dreams. For those two weeks I want to focus on how I want to set up my business later on this year. I really want to make the most of having free time and letting my dreams and ambitions come to life. Enjoy all your travelling and have fun with all your new projects this year. Love n hugs – Mel ;o)

So inspiring, Ashley! I can’t wait until I am living that life. I’m on my way with the other Dream Questers ;)

I’m planning a big Peru trip with friends for 2015. I can’t wait to hike the Inca trail & see Machu Picchu!

Thank you for your honesty and share in this video. it is very inspiring!
Over the past six months I transition out of my desk job in June and the past 6 months have been quite a fun rollercoaster. I am looking to settle in NYC for a few more months.

My game plan is for traveling and relaxation in the latter half of 2014. A couple of trips to the caribbean are a must since my family is still in PR. My other go to spot this year is going to be Europe. I am grateful to have started a freedom based business which feels good +authentic.

Love the video lady! It looks so peaceful there.

I’m hoping to plan a little baby moon getaway to Paris, even if its just for a night before Miss Be a makes an appearance! xo

It’s SO fun to hear about all of your upcoming travel plans! I just got home from Punta Cana and seeing new parts of the world is always exciting and inspirational. I can’t wait to plan my next trip.

I also love to hear that your business is growing and evolving! How exciting. I can’t wait to follow along on the journey.

I’ve just come back from India (Delhi, Agra, Udaipur etc), and I’m already doing research on future destinations. There are SO many places that I’d like to travel to – hike the Fish River Canyon, travel gorillas in Rwanda, go air ballooning in Turkey, snowboarding in South Korea. Unfortunately, my budget (and work schedule) doesn’t allow me to visit all of these places this year. Will need to prioritize and sacrifice =(
